Courier Settings

Courier Settings:

In this section, you set your account information with UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

UPS:

  • Use Published Rates - Select this option if you want to use standard UPS rates.
  • Use My Negotiated Rates - Select this option if you want to use your discounted negotiated rate (requires your account info below).
  • Online Tools Access Code - Enter your UPS online tools account number.
  • Username - Enter your UPS online tools username.
  • Password - Enter your UPS online tools password.
  • Shipper Number - Enter your UPS shipper number.
  • Pickup Type - Select your pickup type.  For most merchants, it will be “Daily Pickup”.
  • Packaging - Select what type of packaging you use. For most merchants, it will be “Package”.
  • Use Parallel FedEx Rates If UPS’s Server is Not Responsive - Check this box if you want to use parallel FedEx rates as a backup if UPS’s server is not responding.

If you decide to use your negotiated rates, you will need to sign up for UPS Online Tools and obtain an “Online Tools Access Code”. Please contact your UPS representative for more information.

FedEx:

  • Use Published Rates - Select this option if you want to use standard FedEx rates.
  • Use My Negotiated Rates - Select this option if you want to use your discounted negotiated rate (requires your account info below).
  • Shipping API Key - Enter your FedEx Shipping API Key provided by FedEx.
  • Shipping API Password - Enter your FedEx Shipping API password.
  • Account Number - Enter your FedEx account number.
  • Meter Number - Enter your FedEx meter number.
  • Dropoff Type - Select your dropoff type.  For most merchants, it will be 
    “Regular Pickup”.
  • Packaging - Select what type of packaging you use. For most merchants, it will be “Your Packaging”.
  • Hub ID (SmartPost Only) - If you are using FedEx SmartPost, you will need to select the correct Hub ID.  If you are not sure what to select here, please contact your FedEx representative. If you do not use FedEx SmartPost, please select “Not applicable”.
  • Use Parallel UPS Rates If FedEx’s Server is Not Responsive - Check this box if you want to use parallel UPS rates as a backup if FedEx’s server is not responding.

USPS:

  • Use Published Rates - This will always remain checked as USPS does not offer negotiated rates online.
  • Use My Negotiated Rates - N/A for USPS.
  • Mail Type - For international shipments only, select the type of packaging that you use.
